Fast Windows Antivirus 2011 removal help?

Spyware Doctor

While I was looking at pictures for my project, Fast Windows Antivirus 2011 pops up. I found out it was a scam and I want to remove it. I don’t think I can manually remove it, fearing if I mess up it will affect my computer. Is there any software I should download to remove it? Would Spyware Doctor work? (Last time I use it, it didn’t work when I was trying to remove another virus)

Chosen Answer:

Spyware Doctor

Download free anti-malware software from the list below and run a full system scan.

* MalwareBytes Anti-malware http://www.malwarebytes.org
* SUPERAntispyware http://www.superantispyware.com
* Spybot S&D http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html
* Hitman Pro 3.5 http://www.surfright.nl/en/hitmanpro

Don’t forget to update the installed program before scanning.

    Note: If you are blocked from downloading files, you may have to download them on another computer and run them from a flash drive. If you cannot update Malwarebytes, open Internet Explorer, go to Tools > Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings > uncheck everything except “Automatically detect settings”, and try again.

    Go to http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/anti-virus/rkill , download and run rkill. After it completes, go to http://www.malwarebytes.org/ and download Malwarebytes, install, update, and run a full scan. Remove any items it finds. If prompted to reboot, do so.

    Confirm that the infection is removed and your computer works. Then go into system protection (Start > Right click Computer > Properties > System Protection), select any hard drives with protection on, press Configure…, and turn off system protection. Then reenable it (deletes all restore points).

    If these steps fail to remove the infection, you should ask a friend or colleague who knows more and ask them to do it. If all else fails, reinstall Windows.

    These instructions are tailored to Windows 7, if you use a different OS, then they may differ slightly, use common sense.

    Restart your computer in the safe mode. Tap the F8 button while your computer is starting up to get into the safe mode.

    Download Malwarebytes to a flash drive and rename it to explorer.exe. Then launch explorer.exe in order to install Malwarebytes’ Anti-malware. Once Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware is installed, navigate to your Program Files\Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware folder and locate the mbam.exe in there and rename it to explorer.exe. Now, run the program.

    If this program works for you and you want to keep it, I suggest using the paid version. It is one of the best security program for your computer. Just remember to remove any other security software because they may interfere with one another and cause more problems.
