i downloaded it to get rid of virus lab 2009 and it hasn’t gone away .. i don’t know what to do .

If it’s the free version, ditch it and use Malwarebytes’ AntiSpyware and SuperAntiSpyware. If it’s the pay-for version, use MBAM as well.

Try downloading the free version in the Google Pack, http://pack.google.com/intl/en/pack_installer.html. The free version is not the best, but it has the critical features we require.
It surely works, and avoid using the paid version because it doesn’t even let you remove the malware.
