PC Tools Spyware Doctor….info abt threats plz :) 10pts best answer.?

Spyware Doctor

Ok, so I had the Internet Security 2010 on my comp. (no idea how it got there). I downloaded the PC Tools Spyware Doctor and it is scanning. It says I have over 200 threats but so far it has only removed 2. What I would like to know is will it delete everything else it found? Or can I not get rid of that….
Thanks!

PS. I also have McAfee.
scratch wat i said b4 abt the number of threats…it’s on it’s way to 2000. >.<
can i srsly trust this program?!

Chosen Answer:

Spyware Doctor

Stopping spyware (‘malware’) is more than a one-time inoculation, folks.
This is about a weekly habit of cleaning ‘nasty dust bunnies’
from your personal computer.
In much the same way you clean your home with your favorite broom
and your favorite cleaning solvents, you will also need good tools
to clean spyware out of your PC.

Depends on what you have on your computer. The 200 threats is a scam to get you to buy their “premium software” Most of the off brand internet security stuff is crap bloat ware. Really all you need is free AVG, and be careful what you do i.e. don’t open emails from strangers ect.. McAfee can be good but it will slow down your PC. Plus you have to always keep on top of updates.

Most of those 200 hundred threats must be cookies. If it were anything else your computer would not be running. You can delete your own cookies. If you have vista click on safety at the top of your page. Then click on delete browsing history. A window will open and then click on cookies. I hope Spyware Doctor takes care of your problems but they may want you to install the paid version to get rid of everything. Good luck.

You can use SUPERAntispyware instead of Spyware Doctor. If you have a free version of Spyware Doctor then it will not remove other infectons unless you buy it.

You should update Spyware Doctor before scanning, also don’t forget that sometimes two security programs conflict with each other. I personally have Spyware Doctor and there are no problems on my PC, I take it as the serious one.
